Jesus is asked the question "Will many be saved?" Instead of answering "how many", Jesus responds by with "how." Jesus encourages to enter through the narrow gate, because the path that leads to destruction is wide and easy. When we capitulate to the culture, we go along to get along, thus choosing the broad road.
